I have been drinking hot milk and eating bread(well more like using bread to keep teeth from grinding and hurting more). I cant get to the dentist for 2 weeks. is there any natural cures or anything that has worked for anyone?
I have teeth pain, and am getting headaces ..is there any cures/helps for pain until I get to dentist?
Go to the nearest emergency room and explain your situation.
I used to have horrible teeth combined with a lack of cash to see a dentist.
Emergency room visits are covered by insurance (or free if you have no money). The doctor will give you powerful anti-biotics to kill the infection causing the pain as well as good pain killers until the anti-biotics start working.
Aside from that, gargle with Listerine or liquor (swish all thru your mouth/teeth and then swallow). They both contain lots of alchohol which will also kill the infection and dull the pain.
It won't get better on it's own, Good Luck
Reply:massage your thumb right below your thumb nail or try foot bath with hot+warm water.
Reply:If you break Coq10 capsules and squirt the contents into your mouth near the problem it will help take down swelling and reduce pain. Nothing will actually help prevent a recurrence of the infection until the bad tooth is removed. You should also go to the ER or you dr for some antibiotics if you have an active infection. The dentist will not be able to do anything until the infection is cleared up.
Reply:oh poor thing i know how u feel try some bonjela the stuff u use on infant gums it helps and some mouth wash or even a clove out of Ur pickled onions works a treat or a hot or cold pack when u lay down may help with some over the counter panadole with codeine take care and good luck.for other health a remedy's that's all natural have a look at www.xoomaworldwide.com/anniec
Reply:First get some of this to help stop the pain. http://www.orajel.com/products/adult.htm
If you can find it try Spry Toothpaste. My gums stopped bleeding so easily once I started using it.
The first link shows the toothpaste. The second link shows you how to find it in stores.

Reply:Toothache is usually because of the inflammation of the pulp of the tooth (pulpitis). Sometimes a toothache may be due to non-dental reasons like infection of the ears and sinus. If a tooth is affected home remedies like clove oil can provide temporary relief, but it is advisable to visit a dentist for a long term solution. Wisdom teeth pain?
It's been about 3 or 4 weeks now. And I have little pain when I sollow in my left bottom gum area. No other area hurts and I've looked back there and saw nothing wrong. But of course am no dentist. I followed all the rules the only thing. I stoped taking the infection pills when I went back to see my dentist. Their was at least 3 days worth of pills left. I know it cant be a dry socket cause am not in a lot of pain like they said I would be. Should I just wait till my next check up? Thanks!
Wisdom teeth pain?
If you think it's your wisdom teeth, the dentist will need to do an xray to see if they are coming in wrong or anything. My wisdom teeth came in when I was 17 and the back of my mouth was so sore and I woke up one day with one side of my face completely swollen. It hurt pretty bad. When I went to the dentist he did xrays and saw that my wisdom teeth were coming in crooked and I had to get all four of them pulled!
Reply:I would call up your dentist and tell him about your pain to see if he deems it normal or not. When I had mine removed, they hurt for a few weeks, and even bled alittle during the first 2 weeks.
If the pain is severe and not relieved by painkillers, you should see your dentist ASAP. But if its relieved by painkillers, or minor enough where you dont need them, you will probably be alright waiting until you next appt.
Reply:I'm in a similar situation. I had my wisdom teeth pulled a few weeks ago too. I can't open my mouth wide enough to eat a doughnut without my lower left part of my jaw hurting. Then again I had seven pulled and the extra tooth there was almost the size of a regular one. Which brings me to my explanation. If the tooth there was bigger, that's probably why it is hurting. If you have an infection, your gums would be swollen and red. If you didn't see anything wrong, then you're probably fine, but if this continues go see the surgeon who removed your teeth.

After you have teeth removed, will there be tooth pain due to increased circulation around the teeth and the?
wearing off of pain medication and new alignment of the bite for a while? How long will they hurt? Had wisdom, #32 and molar #31 removed. Been a week now. Still taking 2 motrin twice a day for pain. Trying to slow down the pain meds.
After you have teeth removed, will there be tooth pain due to increased circulation around the teeth and the?
Hopefully your dentist gave you detailed instructions on what to do when you left the dentist's office. Usually they recommend a cold pack and warm pack, I am not sure in which order but both were recommended to my son when he had his wisdom teeth removed. Also, I hope they told you to NOT drink from a straw. That is VERY important to the healing process. It is a painful thing to have done but can ALSO become painful if you develop what is called "dry socket". If you're still experiencing pain after a week, NOT THAT YOU HAVE DRY SOCKET BUT, I would call my dentist and see if they want to see you in their office again before your recheck to be sure you aren't experiencing something unusual. I would just call my dentist, tell them everything you wrote in your question and see what they say. I would think by now the pain would be subsiding substantially. Be on the safe side and call the dentist before enduring any more pain that might be caused by a possible problem. Good luck!!!!!
Reply:you should have soarness,on your gums around the pulled tooth but that should go away,I had pain realy bad for about a wk 1 time when I had a tooth pulled but that went away.

Tooth pain after zoom teeth whitening?
I had Zoom Whitining done today at the Dentist office and it did a really good job, but WOW my teeth are super sensitive now. Some of them are even throbbing, is this normal and how long will it last?
Tooth pain after zoom teeth whitening?
It is very normal! It should settle down within the week.
Take some ibuprofen to help take off the edge.
avoid anything too cold or sweet. and avoid staining things like coke coffee smoking etc.
Bleach really drys out your teeth and it will take a little while for the enamel to take up fluid again so stick to water and clear stuff.
Reply:For me it was. The pain eventually went away after about 6 hours, but it could depend from person to person I guess.
Reply:its normal the pain will settle in 3 days and in the meanwhile your dentist should have given you a clear fluoride rinse. You will DEFINITELY need this. Call your dentist and ask him for the fluoride rinse. It comes with EVERY zoom kit, along with the nitewhite.

Teeth pain...PLEASE HELP?
I recently have began to brush my teeth twice daily instead of the usual one. Now I have not cavities just fillings on my two back teeth(the main ones you chew with) top and bottom and now I can not chew on that side because it hurts so bad. Is it because of me brushing my teeth a lot more than usual or could it be because I chew gum alot? or do I need new fillings or something? Help please. If you have any personal ecperience them please do tell.
Teeth pain...PLEASE HELP?
It could be that the fillings are just too high or bulky. If this is the case your dentist will do a slight adjustment and everything will be back to normal. If the pain still persists then the nerve could have been traumatized during the filling and may require a root canal. The only one to tell you for sure is your dentist so book an appointment as soon as possible! Hope this helps.

Teeth pain from spacers.?
Me and my little sister got back from the dentist yesterday after having spacers put in, she's eleven and I'm almost fifteen, and we're both in excrutating pain. I had eight put in and she had four, and the dentist had said it wouldn't hurt but me and her are in allot of pain, and I wanted to know some ways we could diminish the pain. Ice seems to make it tighter, tylenol and advil don't work, heat only works a very little bit and it really hurts allot, so please help..
Teeth pain from spacers.?
spacers hurt like crap but they say that they are the worst thing about getting braces ect.. i only had 6
Reply:My brothers teeth ended up getting yanked out by spacers that were put into weak roots in his gums. Take tylenol and if its still not better in 24 hrs call the dentist. Ibeprofen worked for him- he was 11 too
Reply:I had spacers put in right before I got my braces, and they hurt too, but the only thing you can do is take some ibuprofen, and the pain will go away in a day or two
Reply:When I was younger, I had four of them put onto my back molars. My dentist had given Tylenol Three...you have to ask a doctor or dentist for a perscription, but it really helped me...And if you cannot get the perscription, then I recommend taking two or three Ibuprohen. But don't worry they stop hurting after a while anyway...

Help!! I grind my teeth so hard at night. I have TMJ pain. Has anyone tried cureforbruxism.com??
I have TMJ and very tight muscles from grinding my teeth. The pain is unreal. It affects my quality of life. I use Takara Japanese Detox pads to control the pain and they do work extremely well. I just get tired of sticking pads to my face every night.
I want to STOP grinding while I'm asleep. I know everyone says it can't be done, but there must be a way! I don't give up easily.
I am skeptical of the cure for bruxism website. I can't find mention of it on TMJ boards and I can't find reviews of the program anywhere. I just thought I'd post here for the heck of it.

you need to take some muscular relaxants to flex your muscles. Need to, psychiatric check up.
Reply:Have you heard of night guards before? They are a mouth piece that you wear to sleep, and it solves the problem of teeth grinding. I am a dental assistant, and people come in all the time to get fitted for a night guard. Sometimes insurance covers much of the cost also. You have to make an appt. to see a dentist first.
Reply:Are you taking any antidepressants? They can cause bruxism and jaw pain.
