Any home remedies for wisdom teeth pain?

I have some wisdom tooth pain at night. But, I do not have the money to get my wisdom teeth pulled at all. Does anyone know of something I can do for right now?

Any home remedies for wisdom teeth pain?
try rubbing some propolis honey to it....
Reply:Cloves.
Reply:Advil. If there is a lot of pain and swelling in the cheeks it could be that they have abscessed and you will probably need antibiotics.
Reply:Start with a product like OraJel or any other benzocaine 20% available in the drug store. Use according to the directions. This will buy you a LITTLE time.

Don't overlook aspirin, Tylenol or Advil either. They work.

Fortunately, wisdom teeth move a little and stop for a while. Hopefully, once you get through this episode, you'll find a little cash to get them taken care of.
Reply:Yes. Pray.
Reply:straight vanilla extract, put it on q-tip and rub on tooth,no more than 5 to 6 times a day as it may burn your gums
Reply:cold stuff.

this is a good excuse to buy ice cream!
Reply:I delayed tending to my wisdom teeth and ended up with the root wrapping itself around a nerve, which complicated the extraction when I finally got around to it,,, and I had some numbness along that side for a while.. Is there a clinic with a sliding fee scale near you so you can have it taken care of? Are your wisdom teeth all the way in? Maybe they just need some help.
Reply:so many good answers, unfortunately all the remedies only go so far.(except the praying) You may need to try switching back and forth between them. Acetaminophen to advil, anbesol to clove oil. You can get tylenol 1 (has codeine) without a prescription, but you need to ask the pharmacist for it (or generic brand). You can try cloves, whole or there's clove oil, harder to find, though. Ice packs can help, not heat. Another thing you can try is rubbing your gums behind your tooth. The pain may go away on it's own, I've had that happen, but try to get to the dentist asap, in case the pain comes back worse. I'm going to have to check out the vanilla and honey ones... sounds interesting. Watch out for swelling, too. If that happens, seek medical advice.

I really hope some of this helps, I know where you're coming from.
Reply:If you ever find out; tell me; I have half a wisdom tooth and need to go through tons of medical data to get it sorted out to stop myself having an adverse reaction to the drugs.

First, I would start saving and try patient advice centres from Google.
Reply:Dr. Sam's ideas are good, but in the end, they will have to come out -- you are looking at absesses, bone loss and all sorts of pain. Oh, and forget the pray $hit -- how selfish. Nothing is listening anyway, but don't you just love that as a solution to any problem????
Reply:keep it clean, rinse with listerine. daily. brush the area often. you want to keep the area clean because if it gets infected, you're screwed!
