How do I get rid of wisdom teeth pain???

My wisdom teeth came in last year, and it seems like my top left ones are rubbing against my gums on the bottom. I can't afford to go get them taken out, but I was wondering if there were any OTC remedies to temporarily get rid of the pain so I can eat on that side without pain.

How do I get rid of wisdom teeth pain???
if the gums on bottom are hurting i would try Anbesol on a temporary basis.

your best bet is to get the suckers pulled. you can afford it. most dentists will work with you. if your dentist won't, call around and find one that has payment plans. then get them pulled one at a time till all four are gone.

wisdom teeth can be very, very ugly experiences. i had two that abcessed on me. the pain was the worst pain i've ever had in my life. i didn't sleep for 3 days, all i could do was hold my head and rock back and forth all night long. when i finally got in to see the dentist he took one look at it and said, "Yeah, that one's trouble. Let's get it out of there." 30 minutes later he reached into my mouth with a pair of dental pliers and grabbed hold of the tooth. he actually put his hand against my forehead to use me as leverage as he pulled! i heard a grating sound and then a large "CRACK" filled my ears. the tooth broke loose of its home in the jaw and the dentist pulled it out. the pain i'd felt for the past 3 days was instantly gone! he packed the socket with some gelfoam and gave me a prescription for tylenol #3 and some antibiotics. a year or so later i had the other one on the bottom pulled and a couple of years after that i had the top ones pulled.

wisdom teeth are a *****. its good to get rid of them before they abcess on you. Good luck!
Reply:Gotta have them pulled!
Reply:go to a dentist ask for biozane or something like that its numbing paste put it on ur gums guys read the small print underneath the ? she sed she couldnt afford to pull them out
Reply:pull out your wisdom teeth!!!!....really, i do feel bad, that really has got to hurt...my deepest apologies
Reply:Use Numsit-a teething pain reliever for babies. Also try whiskey-rub it thoroughly into the gums.

Better figure out how to get to the dentist.
Reply:You should have them x-rayed ... they may be causing damage to other teeth.
Reply:Call your dentist/orthodontist for ideas over the counter, I would suggest Advil or Tylenol
Reply:You can buy ambesol at Walmart. Itll numb the pain for now, but dont use it forever. You'll eventually have to see a dentist.
Reply:pain releiver is pain reliever, have you tried alleve? but make sure you are not allergic to it and you follow suggested dosage. otherwise call your dentist.
Reply:have them yanked if they are giving you problems.
Reply:gotta get them extracted
Reply:anbesol!
Reply:Use a pair of pliers and pull them out
Reply:ambosal
Reply:Yes one medication will buy you some time..it's called Ibuprofen purchase it over the counter under any brand name..it will give you the peace you need :)
Reply:Find a dental school that does charity work(Universities have these). Have them pulled by a rookie. At least it will be free.
Reply:use oragel until you get them removed
Reply:It sucks, but you'll have to get them pulled....I just had mine pulled...the pain got so bad..and my cheek got swollen....but after it was pulled it only hurt for a few days and now its better than ever!...its not too expensive, but you can also get a payment plan from most dentist offices.
Reply:either get them pulled or they sell this stuff in CVS called Orajel that temporarily numbs it
Reply:You probably won't want to hear this but you need to get them taken out. If you don't do it now and wait until your 30s, 40s or later you will regret it. I had mine taken out in my 40s and I wish I wouldn't have waited so long. It's harder when you are older. Almost everyone ends up having to get them pulled because they cause so many problems. Please take out a loan to have them pulled; you will not regret it, and it will save you a lot of pain and suffering down the road. Also get the bottom ones taken out to...it's best to have them all done at the same time. That's what I did. Once you go through it you don't want to have to go through it again, that's why have them all done at once. It's better to do it before they come through. It heals better and quicker.
Reply:Tylenol and Orajel, but you really need to see a dentist to make sure they are not impacted or infected.
Reply:is it the gums or the tooth? try some oral gel.you can buy it almost anywhere, and clove leaf oil.they use it in hard tack candy.put it on with a q-tip it will taste aweful but it does work sometimes.hot water bottle, lay on the side that hurts.and last if your over 18 find somebody with some good pain pills.see your dentist he can at least write you a rx...good luck
Reply:Having them extracted is the only way to permanently relieve the pain. Hope you feel better soon.
