I went to a specialist and she said I had tmj but I am not sure if that is supposed to cause teeth pain. I also have a muco-retention cyst in my maxillary sinus and I am not sure if it is the tmj or that.
Anyone else have pain in their upper teeth?
People with TMJ disorder tend to clench and/or grind their teeth. This alone can cause multiple teeth to hurt at the same time for no other apparent reason. Also, your maxillary sinuses, both left and right, are in very close proximity to the ends of the roots of the upper molars, and sometimes, the upper premolars (bicuspids). Sinus problems present very frequently as pain in the posterior teeth, and must be ruled out prior to treating any teeth in the symptomatic area(s). Your TMJ disorder will most likely have to be treated by a removable bite guard, and your sinus cyst may need to be removed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Best of luck.
