Teeth pain?

I just started using Crest Whitestrips and now the base of my teeth hurt extremely bad. I have had some tooth sensitivity before but nothing like this. The pain is right at the root and constant.

I also have a slight case of receding gumline but I don%26#039;t know if that would make a difference or not.

Please help!

Teeth pain?
Often times people experience sensitivity while whitening. Use the strips less often... If you are using them everyday cut back to every three days. Also use a fluoride rinse like ACT or Fluorigard. If the over the counter solution doesn%26#039;t work call your dentist and ask for a prescription for fluoride (Prevident). The prescription fluoride gel is the best bet for reduction of sensitivity if you are still going to whiten.
Reply:ITS BECAUSE OF THE RECEEDING GUMS SORRY YOU COULD TRY TO MAKE A PASTE OF BAKING SODA TO SOOTHE IT
Reply:Stop using it and go to the dentist, tell him what happened, I didn%26#039;t go to dental school, sorry
Reply:it may be due to a cavity. bad cavity. you might have to get root canal. but it may just also be from not brushing your teeth. go to your dentist and find the problem.....best of luck ;DDDDD
