Wisdom Teeth Pain?

I need my wisdom teeth out (all 4 and I am a 27 yr old female). But right now I can%26#039;t afford it. $1200.00 to get them out. So over the past 2 weeks I have had alot of pain in my lower right tooth and jaw!!! And I mean pain!!!


Last night before bed I tool 3 tylonol and 2 ibuprophine and nothing..the pain was still there.


At this moment I can%26#039;t afford a dentist now either.


I was wondering if I would look like a fool going to the ER for this? Can they help me there?


My co-work says that I should watch for infection. (she thinks I am swollen).


I am Canadian and was wondering if I can still get some sort of insurance to have this surgury done? Or is it to late cuz I was diagnosed already?


Please help me!!! SO MUCH PAIN!!! I have already lost alot of sleep cuz of pain and have a hard time to eat cuz of pain!!

The ER can give you a prescription for pain, but you will have to pay for that and the ER bill is outrageous!! I went in for pain and I ended up paying $1200 for the visit!


The dentist might work with you on payment arrangements if you ask. They might even write a prescription for you since they know the problem. It would be in your best interest to call and ask them.
Reply:if you go to the emergency room the only way they will help you is if you have an infection and have to have them removed right then and there. otherwise, they will give you strong stuff for the pain and tell you to see a dentist (that%26#039;s what happened to me). to help with the pain, get some orajel. even baby orajel (nighttime) works really well. you just rub a little on the gum and it helps. eat soft food and most importantly, try to get some money to see a dentist. insurance should cover you. i am so sorry! i know it sucks and hurts so bad. good luck.
Reply:There is this dental credit card. You have to have good credit...but you use it just like a credit card you just have monthly charge. You should look into it. The longer you wait the more problems that this causes. Sorry that you are in pain!
