Im only 12 and my wisdom teeth are coming in. I know they are wisdom because the dentist told me and my 12 year molars are in. Well, my gum by where the tooth is coming in on the top is all sore, and when anything touches it, I get pains in it. Is this normal???? The pain is not unbearable, but it is enough where it would get annoying. What can I do to get the pain to go away??? And if I am getting braces and having 4 teeth out already....could they take the wisom teeth out instead of the other perfectly fine teeth?

thats why most people get their wisdom teeth removed. the pain comes from having the wisdom teeth. they will remove the teeth soon enough especially if you mention the pain alot.

Reply:You sound extremely wise for your age. Follow your instincts here and get a second opinion. If your folks want to insist you go to that dentist, tell them he gives you the creeps or something. Really good dentists are actually rather hard to find and a lot of people suffer needlessly because of the bad ones! Hope it gets better for you, dear.
Reply:Dont know if they can take alternative teeth out, But I will say wisdom teeth growing in is painful, unfortunately for me the pain gets unbearable, your so lucky thats its just annoying pain, I take motrin, aleve, and extra tylenol to control the pain, It is very normal to have pain from mild to extreme, it depends on the person.
Reply:you are going to have to get them taken out soon. but i'm sure it has to be 12 year molars coming in! take an ibuprofen/motrin and the pain should go away. you should go to a docter if the pain persists still in 7 days (and yes, i do read the medicine bottles when i am bored :0 )
