My whole mouth, and teeth are in pain?

Yesterday I got rubberbands for my braces, and they took 2 brackets off, and put bands on my 12 year old molars up top, so I got a lot of work done.

Anyway, all of my teeth hurt. Any ways to get rid of the pain without meds or ice? (ice doesn't work)

Wow, I remember going through that sore stage everytime I got my teeth tightend. You could try oragel, but it will numb up your mouth. Motrin, or some other pain killer brand my do the trick. If not, Its the oragel for temporary relief. Just don't use too much.
Reply:sleep lol

always helps =]
Reply:Your mouth is adjusting to this and you will be in pain for a short while, take some pain meds, whatever works for you. You could call your orthodontist but its just part of getting your teeth straightened. Oh there is that stuff they rub on baby gums Absosol its usually in that section for babies, or try where the toothpaste is located. That works temporarily too.
Reply:Try to get some clove oil from the drugstore or health food store. It works amazingly well for tooth/gum pain. If you can't find clove oil, get some powdered cloves (in the spices section of the grocery or health food store) and rub sparingly in the most painful areas. It can be a little hard on your stomach in large amounts, so just try a little bit at a time and you'll be surprised at how well it works! Much better than oragel or anbesol.
