I ate a lot of soup and noodles when I first got mine. Your teeth will stop hurting in a couple days.

Reply:ice cream or yoghurt
Reply:a big rough steak cooked well done and some gobstoppers
Reply:ice cream
Reply:go on soft diet. when i had mine i took mashed potatoes, soups and cereals for my meals.
Reply:eat foods that you dont have to chew like mashed potatoes, soups, oatmeal .ect
Reply:soft foods that don't stick to your mouth, try mashed potatoes, pudding, ect.
Reply:Shakes, any thing liquid. Ensure, Boost, etc.
Reply:Chicken noodle soup, applesauce, and soggy ceral is what I lived on when I first got my braces on. Even drinking anything hurt. Now when I go to the dentist and do something that makes them really sore I fall back to this diet.
Reply:ask ur dentist i think its more like applesause ect to start out
Reply:apple sauce, maccaroni and cheese, soup, and anything that you dont have to chew too much because that hurts, trust me! it will hurt the first couple of days but then it wont hurt nearly as much so then you can eat just like regularly.

hope i helped : )
Reply:I remember that (last year...) Ok, you gotta eat soft breads, soups, NOT CHIPS! (I learned that the hard way...) and if it doesn't hurt too much you could have stuff like ham and meat and chicken etc. It's basically gonna hurt like hell all the time for about a week, then you just get used to it. I don't even feel it anymore.
Reply:your orthodontist!
Reply:simple eat anything soft, dont chew gum it will get stuck and when you are done eating every meal make sure to brush your teeth of have a toothpick to get the food out of your braces so it dont get stuck in your teeth.
Reply:i had braces too...and they were painful too.

i recommend eating soft stuff..like rice and yoghurt and stuff not stuff which takes a lot of chewing..eat porrige if u can for breakfast..
Reply:Milk shakes
Reply:Chicken noodle soup, or about any flavor of Ramen is very soothing to the teeth after getting your braces on (or getting them tightened).

Cold things like ice cream and popsicles tend to cause more pain.

Other suggestions would be Jell-O yogurt, applesauce, rice, oatmeal, any other kind of soup or chowder that you like, mashed potatoes, smoothies, spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, etc...

Here's another idea... some foods are soft enough (crackers, for instance), that you can crush or mash them against the roof of your mouth with your tongue. It might not feel good RIGHT after getting your braces tightened, but if you get sick of Jell-O and mashed potatoes, it's a good option to consider.

I restate my first statement, and highly reccomend Ramen noodles for when your teeth are hurting really bad.
Reply:eat foods that are soft, like mashed potatoes or soup and take tylenol, that should help... that's what I did when I first got braces.
Reply:you could suck on some ice. it will numb you gums up
Reply:I started getting my braces on four months after graduation. It hurts a lot when you get it in the first day. I had that experience since I don't have braces anymore. For the first two to three days, don't bite to anything that is hard to chew on. It is best for you to drink water, milk, eat yogurt, and cook some soup. For me, every time I come home from the ortho, I always had chicken soup to eat because it really hurts when I start chewing things. Eat foods that is really soft and easy to chew on. I hope this might help. Do not eat anything hard when you come home from the ortho. If your teeth hurts a lot like in pain, take some tylenol that what I did.
Reply:I have braces too. You should try some jamba juice or oat'n meal or yogurt or mashed banana and milk any thing soft like pudding.
Reply:keep to a soft diet mashed potato's, hot cereal, soup, pudding, ice cream.
