Severe jaw pain-Ear-Teeth?

My husband for the past week has had pain in his Jaw-ear-teeth for about a week every day it gets worse. It has turned to sever pain the past 2 days he has been taking everything to get rid of the pain and nothing is working. He said he has never felt pain this bad before. Is there anything he can take or do?

Reply:Go to a doctor/dentist (depending on where the problem originates). Sounds like there may be an infection which should be treated with antibiotics, and secondly some pain medication. Go soon so it doesn't become worse.
Reply:Has he had his wisdom teeth removed yet? That sounds like the pain that I, as well as others get when they haven't had them removed. It is because the wisdoms are pushing on a vain in your jaw. That is what causes the headaches. It does not matter what age you are when that begins to occur. I thought it was something that only occurred when you are younger, but I was wrong. I had them removed when I was 28. I would check with a physician.
Reply:Take Excedrin Migranine. Works like a charm. Also I suggest he see your family doctor and then dentist. He could have an inner ear infection pain can radiate to teeth and jaw or he could have a tooth infection pain can radiate to ear. Have him rest his head on a heating pad also.
Reply:See A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY as the pain originated from a tooth-this is a big red light-it means an infection and the pain in the jaw-in all probability is the onset of lock jaw-he needs to take ampicilyn or a dirivitive of it-if not done the dentist will tell you his life is on the line.

Reply:It sounds like he has an abcessed tooth. If it is sensitive to hot, cold, pressure, keeps him awake at night, or wakes him up then he may need to have a root canal done. He should see a dentist. If his tooth is infected then he will need to be put on antibiotics to clear that up.

He could also be clenching or grinding his teeth at night and that will cause your teeth to be sensitive and for your jaw and ear hurt really bad. If that is what is going on then he needs to have a night guard made.
