Wisdom teeth pain?

My mouth is really sore, but I can't take vikadin or any strong painkillers because I have a sensitive stomach. I've been taking advil, and alieve, and they work alright. How long will it take for the pain to be pretty much gone? Also, I go to camp in two and a half weeks, so will I be able to swim and participate in normal activities there?

If your wisdom teeth hurt, you really need to get some antibiotics because that is an indication of an exposed nerve and infection. Time to get them removed. That will be the only way to never have wisdom teeth pain again. Plus because of where they are located they can crowd your other teeth and develop cavities more readily and if they are touching other teeth they could cause additional problems for those teeth also. Time to have them strap on the gas mask and have them removed.

It only took me a few days (like 4 or so) before I wasn't in pain any longer and I also only used ibuprofen. The holes will be there for a while, but you should be okay for camp in 2.5 weeks as long as the holes don't get infected, which happens more easily than you might think and can be VERY unpleasant (the dentist must scrape the insides of them clean if this happens, so DON'T LET IT!).





Keep the sockets clean, use the mouthwash medicine they gave you religiously, and try REALLY REALLY hard to avoid using your back teeth to chew your food for the next couple of weeks (you don't want any food getting in there). This should keep you from getting infected, and you'll be 100% when you go to camp.
Reply:im guessing u've had them pulled? i had mines pulled about a month and a half ago and the pain lasted about 2 weeks after the first week it was just minor pain and i slowed down on the amout of advil i had to take. i had the same problem with the vikadin it made me throw up so i couldnt take it and i ended up having to keep takin advil for the pain. but i would say that in 2 weeks u can do everything normally at camp. it may not be 100% healed but it will not affect any of ur activities =)
